Nokia will soon introduce its own virtual assistant called Viki for its upcoming smartphones in 2017.
According to a report in Netherlands-based website GSMInfo, the Finnish company Nokia has filed an application for a trademark registration in EU for its own AI-based assistant called Viki, which will join the crowd-field of popular Google Assistant, Apple Siri, Amazon Alexa, Microsoft Cortana and Samsung’s rumoured AI assistant called Bixby.
As per the report, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) described Nokia’s Viki as “software for the creation and monitoring of mobile and web digital assistants working with knowledge and combining all data sources into a single chat and voice based interface.”
Currently, there is no other information on the Viki virtual assistant, other than the name on the trademark application. There is no probable launch date mentioned in the reports too.
