HMD Global , owner of NOKIA brand launched its first android smartphone Nokia 6 this week in China, which is kind of big news among Nokia lovers and smartphone enthusiast.
Main features of Nokia 6 is 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of on-board storage alongside microSD support, a 16 megapixel main camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery. 5.5 inch fully aluminium smartphone have a resolution of 1920×1080 which represent modern design ethics of a smartphone.
As expected Nokia 6 have Android operating system and according to HMD Global officials it will ship with Android Nougat 7.0 which is latest version of android OS. Unlike the windows OS android OS enables Nokia 6 to run tons of third party applications. Currently Nokia 6 only available in china exclusive via JD.com at 1699 CNY ( almost 17000 rupee). Launching in China opens up a number of interesting dynamics.
Unlike the markets in Europe and North America, the Chinese market is one that is still going through its growth phase. Re-establishing ‘brand Nokia’ is going to be easier here than it would be in the saturated citadels where Nokia once ruled. It also keeps supply lines relatively short from the production facilities, and using a single retailer reduces the demand on logistics for HMD, which is still a company in start-up mode.
Nokia 6 is mid range smartphone which is clearly gives a strong fight to Moto x play ,Moto G3, Moto G4, Huawei P9, Honor 8 and other smartphone of this category.
