Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 to launch on September 11

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Mi MIX 2 smartphone will be launched at an event on 11th September 2017.

According to a Weibo post, the event will take place at the University of Technology Gymnasium in Beijing, China. Interestingly, the Mi MIX 2 smartphone will launch just 1 day before Apple iPhone8.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2

As per rumours regarding the display, the Mi MIX 2 will have an ~80.8% ratio of screen to body in comparison to Mi MIX that had ~83.6% ratio for the same.

Pricing

There is no official news regarding to pricing of Mi MIX 2. Though, it is expected that the variants of smartphone will range between 39,461 (for 6GB RAM variant) to 50,000 (for 8GB RAM variant).

Other Features

According to various leaks, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will have 3,400mAh battery and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC processor. This is a common chipset available on many premium-end phones.

In terms of display, the Mi MIX 2 could feature a 5.99-inch QHD display with 1080×2160 resolution. When it comes to the camera, the rear camera is expected to be of 12MP and the selfie shooter (or front camera) of 5MP.

Variants: The smartphone shall be available in many variants viz. 6GB RAM & 64/128/256 GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. It quite possible that the 8GB RAM variant will be a limited edition.

Will Mi MIX 2 come to India?

It’s not confirmed that Mi MIX 2 will come to India. Though, Manu Kumar Jain , the Vice President of Xiaomi India, has shared an image of Mi MIX 2 from his own Twitter handle. Thus, it’s quite possible that the phone may come to India.
