Microsoft has unveiled its new accessory named Modern Keyboard with an integrated fingerprint reader. The Modern Keyboard will be work with Windows 10, MacOS and iOS and the latest versions of Android . It can be used with a wired connection or wirelessely through Bluetooth 4.0, it has a rechargeable battery.
Microsoft wanted to blend the Fingerprint reader into a keyboard, so it would appear to be any other key. The Modern Keyboard has integrated fingerprint sensor which is located between the ALT and CTRL keys through which user can log into using Windows Hello and users will not face any problem with this feature while they are typing. The fingerprint unlocking feature is not compatible with Apple devices.
Microsoft said,
Our vision was to blend the Fingerprint reader into a keyboard, so it would appear to be any other key. We iterated relentlessly to improve each layer, making sure they came together to create a flawless typing experience that felt like any other key.
The Modern Keyboard is thin and strong low profile, sleek design, it has a low profile with an aluminum frame makes it heavy and virtually indestructible. This Modern Keyboard will come in silver color. This keyboard will work with Windows 10 Surface Studio, Windows 10 Surface Studio Pro and Laptops. The price of the Modern Keyboard is $130.
