The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently launched Sachet portal to curb illegal and unauthorized pooling of funds by unscrupulous firms.
The portal “sachet.rbi.org.in” will facilitate filing, tracking of complaints, besides providing information about whether any particular entity is registered with any regulator or is permitted to accept deposits.
It will help public to obtain information about entities, which are allowed to collect deposits.
The website would also help to increase coordination among regulators and state government agencies.
Therefore, the portal will be useful in curbing instances of unauthorized acceptance of deposits by unscrupulous entities.
Members of public can file and track a complaint on Sachet portal if any entity has illegally accepted money from them and/or defaulted in repayment of deposits. They can also share information regarding any such entity on this portal.
The website also has a section for closed user group for State Level Coordination Committee (SLCCs) wherein they could share market intelligence and other information about their activities as well as agenda and minutes of meetings across the country on a real time basis.
One can take information or file complaint of any particular entity regarding to problem he/she concerned to a particular regulator. These are as follows:
