Be alert BSNL customers! Now, you will not be able to enjoy free Sunday calling on landlines from 1st February 2018. Apart from this, you will also not get benefit of free calling of 9 pm to 6 am. Yeah! This is true.
No Free Sunday Calling
Now, the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) has revised its free voice calling benefits across the country. In it, BSNL is going to withdraw the free Sunday calling benefit from February 1.
It’s really bad news for BSNL customers, especially for those who could not afford higher rates charged by others.
Though, Calcutta Landline users have some relief, as BSNL will provide some schemes to make it easy for its customers.
Statement on Free Sunday calling scheme
Calcutta Telephones (CaITel) Chief General Manager S P Tripathi said:
BSNL is going to withdraw the free Sunday calling benefit from February 1. This will happen nationally. But, from Calcutta Telephones, we are working on some plans which I think will mitigate the impact on our customers.
As this service gets effective, the BSNL landline users will have to pay for the calling, similar to that on weekdays. This will apply to Landline / Combo / FTTH broadband plans and will be applicable to both existing and new customers.
