Reliance Jio IP-based DTH Services Could Soon Launch

After creating 4G cyclone in the telecom sector, Reliance Jio will soon hit Tsunami in Direct to Home (DTH) space, which has been revealed by the leaked photos of Reliance Jio’s Set-Top Box. Therefore, these leaked photos validate the rumor that we Indians will soon enjoy surprising offers related to IP-based TV services by the Reliance Jio, as we are enjoying in Reliance Jio Prime Offer.

According to a report in the Economic Times, Jio might also partner with video streaming websites like Amazon Prime and Netflix to provide content to users. Though, Reliance Jio has already partnered with Hotstar as a part of which users may get to stream Hotstar from their STBs.

As per BGR News, Reliance Jio is expected to offer live TV streaming with 350 channels that includes over 48 HD channels. Jio is also rumoured to add a new feature “catch up’ which will allow users to stream content from past seven days. There will be built-in mic in remote control that not only used for changing channels and controlling the volume but also supportive for voice search commands.

According to Financial Express,  the leaked images of Reliance Set-up Box are provided by websites Candytech and DTH Forum India. One can see a retail box with the brand logo of Reliance Jio branding. On the contrary, the newspapers as well as we cannot confirm whether the images on the website are an actual representation of the devices which may be launched.
