The new updated Google Maps feature “List” helps you to create and share lists of favorite places to your dear ones and even you can follow lists of friends & family which has been shared with you.
How to Create List of Places Through Google Maps
Open the latest version of Google Maps on your mobile device and find that place you want to visit such as “Ruins of Hampi”. Once you’ve located that particular place on the map, tap on the place name and then the “Save” option. Now, add the place to one of the pre-set lists like “Want to Go” or “Favorites” or create a new list like 10 Best Tourist Places in India”. The lists you follow are with you wherever you take Google Maps and are view-able on mobile and desktop—and even offline.
How to Share List of Places
Now open your list and click on the share button in the top right hand corner. On both Android and iOS, you can share a link to your list Hangouts, SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Once you send a link to your friends & relatives, they can tap “Follow” to pull up the list from Your Places whenever they need it.
How to Edit List of Places
Go to ‘Your places’ and tap the ‘Save’ icon. Tap on the three dot menu to the right of the list and click, “edit list”. You can also add/remove places from lists directly from a location’s place sheet by tapping the “Saved” icon.
