Let’s talk business. Around a week ago, there is a news about WhatsApp Inc. is testing a new feature called Verified Business Accounts. Now, WhatsApp announced about this pilot program WhatsApp Business on its blog Building for People, and Now Businesses . In the blog, they stated:
We’ve heard stories of shopkeepers who use WhatsApp to stay in touch with hundreds of customers from a single smartphone, and from people who are unsure about whether or not a business on WhatsApp is authentic. In the coming months, we’ll be testing new features that aim to solve some of these challenges, and make it easier for people to communicate with the businesses they want to reach on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Inc. is building and testing new tools via a free WhatsApp Business app for small companies and an enterprise solution for bigger companies operating at a large scale with a global base of customers. WhatsApp chief operating officer Matt Idema told The Economic Times,
The capabilities we are offering are free to use. But we do plan to charge businesses in the future. The focus right now is getting businesses on the platform
In the FAQ section for WhatsApp Business accounts they have asked businesses, if they’re interested in testing WhatsApp’s business tools, they can fill out this survey . WhatsApp may reach out to businesses in the event they expand their testing program.
Note: This doesn’t guarantee early access to the program.
