On 11th of January, Mark Zuckerberg has announced to change the mode of Facebook NewsFeed to create a balance between public content (from brands and media outlets) and posts from your friends and family.
Why there is need to shift NewsFeed?

Hence, the balance of what’s in NewsFeed has shifted away from the most important thing Facebook can do – help us connect with each other.
