Do you want to pin / fix your favorite chats of a particular friend or family group on top of your WhatsApp Chat Box? Then soon you can do so. Yeah!
This cool feature is already available on beta versions of WhatsApp and will soon roll-out for all.
According to Android Police, if you’re running WhatsApp beta for Android versions 2.17.162 or 2.17.163, you’ll be able to find the feature.
Remember: You can only pin up to 3 chats at the top of your chat box.
How can you pin a chat on top?
- Open WhatsApp and press on the individual/ group chat you want to pin to the top and choose the Pin icon from the top bar.
- The other options alongside Pin are Delete, Mute, and Archive.
- Select the pin option and the chat will move at the top of the list. Is that simple!
Here, the beneficial point is that even though you have more recent chats with other individuals and groups, you will see them after these pinned chats.

How to unpin a particular chat?
If you wish to unpin a particular chat, long press on the chat. You will then see an unpin option on top. Select the option and the chat will move down the chain of threads. Simple!
