IRCTC & MobiKwik pact

The mobile wallet company MobiKwik has recently tied up with state-run Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) to offer its wallet service as a payment option for railway passengers on the IRCTC’s e-catering app “Food on Track”.

The tie-up is particularly helpful for those who do not have access to net-banking, credit and debit cards or aren’t comfortable using the same.

Benefit: Users will get 15% cashback on purchases through the MobiKwik wallet on the IRCTC’s e-catering app.

MobiKwik will power e-cash payments on the Food on Track app, which allows passengers to book food from their preferred restaurants and delivered right at their train coaches.  Passengers can pre-order food at over 300 stations from food chains such as Dominos, Punjab Grill, KFC and IRCTC Food Plaza.

Users can see all cash loading locations in the ‘nearby’ feature on the MobiKwik app.

The cash pick-up service of MobiKwik is available in New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Jaipur and Surat. The service has recently completed 1 million transactions.

The mobile wallet company is also providing payment facility for IRCTC Connect Android app, which allows users to book railway tickets instantly.
